vintagepaint Posted July 22, 2014 Posted July 22, 2014 I am a landlord and a Visonic Powermax Wireless Alarm system is installed in my rental property. I have just replaced all the sensor batteries but still the panel is bleeping, saying "alarm in memory" and trouble. How do I get this alarm out of memory, reset it and stop the bleeping which is driving the tenants mad. Would be really grateful for some easy to follow advice to sort the problem. As far as I can see the sensors are all working and covers back in place
sixwheeledbeast Posted July 22, 2014 Posted July 22, 2014 Unlock button will silence the beeping for 4 hours. Alarm in memory is a memory event not a fault event. The panel will only beep if there is still a fault, so a low battery or lid tamper for example.
Cubit Posted July 22, 2014 Posted July 22, 2014 Call an engineer? Afterall, the tenants have paid you. And you haven't got a smoke detector near by in need of a battery replacement have you?
vintagepaint Posted July 22, 2014 Author Posted July 22, 2014 smoke detectors are mains. Where is the best place to find an engineer experienced in wireless alarm systems. I am well aware that I need to get it sorted which is what I was trying to do in posting here. I had already replaced all batteries and tampers appeared to be ok - however trouble light is still showing and it just tells me "alarm in memory" "not ready to arm" Was just hoping that this forum might be able to help.

Due to wireless alarms becoming more common, a lot of installers have some experience with them. Looks for installers in your local area on http://ssaib.org/ or http://www.nsi.org.uk/ Installers who are SSAIB or NSI certified prove their competency and experience of security installations.
