matthew.brough Posted August 3, 2014 Author Posted August 3, 2014 I'm very very lucky. I've never had to worry where my next meal is coming from www.securitywarehouse.co.uk/catalog/
goncall Posted August 3, 2014 Posted August 3, 2014 I'm very very lucky. I've never had to worry where my next meal is coming from most dont but in 2014 england do you find it acceptable that people have to rely on food donations to survive
datadiffusion Posted August 3, 2014 Posted August 3, 2014 Re. Fake claims, sadly it does happen like on that channel 4 documentary, anyone see that? So, I've decided to take my work back underground.... to stop it falling into the wrong hands
matthew.brough Posted August 3, 2014 Author Posted August 3, 2014 That depends. For someone who is prepared to do a days work and work hard, I don't think it's very British or acceptable, no. For people who sit on their bum, deserve all they get Re. Fake claims, sadly it does happen like on that channel 4 documentary, anyone see that? No. What's it called so I can look it up on 4od? Is it not the case though that any compassion or handouts will always have an element of abuse? But should the fact a risk of abuse exists be justification to offer no help to anyone? Re. For people who sit on their bum, deserve all they get but if they had work they woudnt have to go to food banks,so its either to each according to his need or each according to his contribution both are fundamentals of a socialist society tho what if your contribution was going to the work shy for instance
datadiffusion Posted August 3, 2014 Posted August 3, 2014 I forget, but it basically followed a food bank, run by a charity, for about a year. Most were genuine, but one guy, said he'd been made redundant, and the dwp had fecked his dole up. He was very convincing, going into job centre to have 'rows' (camera not allowed in ofc) and always arguing on phone at dwp callcentre etc... Then said it was his lads birthday and got loads of burgers, choc cake etc... From foodbank. Crew, not charity, rumbled him as a grifter. In work. Wasn't even the kids birthday. He'd been using it for about 3 months. So, I've decided to take my work back underground.... to stop it falling into the wrong hands

You are right my donation may go to the work shy but equally it might go to someone who is white middle class with a full time job. I'll never know where my £20 went. Same with the blood I give. Might go to save the life if a kiddie fiddler but equally might save a genuine persons life. I'll never know but I hope it did some good. www.securitywarehouse.co.uk/catalog/
