Adi Posted September 28, 2004 Posted September 28, 2004 Does anyone use a solid board cutter to gain access under floors especially chipboard floors? Its a round cutter, the hole is then filled with a plastic 'plug'. If so are they anygood? I really can't be ar**** with it anymore.
Monteey Posted September 28, 2004 Posted September 28, 2004 Yup i got one, make sure you use a powerful drill on em as it is quite hard work, result is great though, plug sits flush with the floor, well worth the money despite having to use a plug per hole. Adi Posted September 28, 2004 Author Posted September 28, 2004 for the reply. What's it like standing on the plug, is there any give? I really can't be ar**** with it anymore.
Guest RICHL Posted September 28, 2004 Posted September 28, 2004 It will eventually split in half (mine has in my bathroom but is due to a) it is right in the middle of the floor and so gets walked on, and B ) I am 17 stone!). Take a bit of floor board with you and screw it to the underside of the chipboard and then sit the plug on top of it.
Monteey Posted September 28, 2004 Posted September 28, 2004 The plugs arent flimsy, but definately would agree with RichL if you were putting one in an area of floor that has heavy traffic.
