spike27 Posted August 27, 2015 Posted August 27, 2015 Just noticed that you mentioned 2 reds and 2 whites in your OP, which actually suggests you have our unresistored F10A / F10C there. The install sheet is available at the link below: http://www.knightfireandsecurity.com/uploads/F10A%20Inst%20Mini.doc Quote http://www.linkedin.com/profile/view?id=74794063

charlie6 Posted August 27, 2015 Posted August 27, 2015 "...There are no resistors fitted in anything else do I need to fit them on the door contacts..." If there are no resistors fitted to any other detection devices at this panel, it is conventional wiring and you should not fit resistors to any added devices unless it is specified by the manufacturer of that added device. "...both of the contacts have a metal sleeve on the cable..." Follow Alyeti's advice and use junction boxes to connect into circuit. "..2 red and 2 white on each of the contacts .." Subject to the approval of Spike try two whites as alarm wires and two reds as tamper..if the panel indicates a fault try the opposite.. two reds to alarm, two whites to tamper. Don't cut off the remaining 2 cores of the six core cable, terminate them at the junction boxes, they may be needed in the future (however, I am open to further correction from Spike). Quote
