datadiffusion Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 have you looked at the Videofied equipment? Suspect price would be an issue. But truely wireless. So, I've decided to take my work back underground.... to stop it falling into the wrong hands
Alarm Protection Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 Agree DD but OP seems to have done his homework on this. !
imran999 Posted August 27, 2014 Author Posted August 27, 2014 What price bracket is the videofied equipment coming in at? My budget is approx £650 +-£200 so i'm at the cheaper end of the market. Although could up the budget if something ticks all the boxes. Ideally i am looking for 4 PIR's (maybe dual tec) 3 Door Detector 1 Front Door Keypad with Prox Control Ability to contact my mobile by phone/text (without having to be connected to an ARC) If above contact fails, then a fall back to GSM. Anyone read anything about the Canary system that is about to launch in the states??

Anything in the states is unlikely to be compliant with the BS EN standards £850 buys a Videofied panel and a couple of detectors, Visonic is probably the better route for your budget, forget the cameras.
imran999 Posted August 27, 2014 Author Posted August 27, 2014 Visonic Powermax Pro panel adequate (1 way wireless) or should i really be going for the powermaster ( 2 way system ) ?
matthew.brough Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 2 way, everytime www.securitywarehouse.co.uk/catalog/
norman Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 As above, if you are serious about the level of protection you want and want to go wireless then 2 way. Nothing is foolproof to a sufficiently talented fool.
PeterJames Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 If you can stretch to two way the battery life will be better as will the protection
datadiffusion Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 The problem with things like Canary, and everything like it, is that the monitoring path itself is not monitored, and you have to make sure you are available 24/7 to act upon any alarms... So, I've decided to take my work back underground.... to stop it falling into the wrong hands
matthew.brough Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 Often something the speech dialler bridge often overlook www.securitywarehouse.co.uk/catalog/
