Service Engineer Posted September 29, 2004 Posted September 29, 2004 Just buy a normal silvered mirror and some fine grade abrasive paper. Just wet n dry enough off so the camerra can see ok through it. ........................................................ Dave Partridge (Romec Service Engineer)
norman Posted September 29, 2004 Posted September 29, 2004 I had some cut to size for a chemist a few years ago (razorblades are a favourite), choice of colour etc, and reasonable too. Nothing is foolproof to a sufficiently talented fool.
Nova-Security Posted September 29, 2004 Posted September 29, 2004 USe a piece of normal glass, go to a car shop (halfords) and buy the mirror film for back windows, all two way mirrors for them to work, it will have to be darker on the camera side, or you will see it. When appling the film to the glass mix some washing up liquid, quiet strong wipe the glass with it, then apply the film, this will allow you to get the ripples out of it, but you will only have until the washing liquid drys. www.nova-security.co.uk www.nsiapproved.co.uk No PMs please unless i know you or you are using this board with your proper name.
norman Posted September 29, 2004 Posted September 29, 2004 A quick tip on testing for two way mirrors is to place the tip of your fingernail against the reflective surface and if there is a GAP between your fingernail and the image of the nail, then it is a GENUINE mirror. However, if your fingernail DIRECTLY TOUCHES the image of your nail, then BEWARE, for it is usually a 2-way mirror! Particularly usefully for smartie on his honeymoon.
