FalconSecurity Posted October 18, 2014 Author Posted October 18, 2014 OK. Thanks. Do you need CAT5e or CAT6 then to run hdsdi? I assume CAT6 is also ok for the internal honeywell panels?

datadiffusion Posted October 18, 2014 Posted October 18, 2014 OK. Thanks. Do you need CAT5e or CAT6 then to run hdsdi? I assume CAT6 is also ok for the internal honeywell panels? I would never recommend solid wiring for intruder unless you can really can't help it, i.e. not saying I wouldn't use a cat5 in a flood wired house for a 3rd floor bedroom keypad, but would never run cat5 if it was a new build. So, I've decided to take my work back underground.... to stop it falling into the wrong hands
