Speaker fuse ok?

Resistance of the wiring to the speaker, measured at the panel when shorted at the far end = ?

So, I've decided to take my work back underground.... to stop it falling into the wrong hands

Well resolved it sort of. The speaker is only on 4 foot of cable. Pannel in airing cupboard up stairs and keypad down in kitchen. After further testing is it actually working but very quietly. Can even hear it from 8 foot away. Tried the volume controle no diferances.

It's a Knight Small Teletone Speaker , it's only small but thought I would get a bit of sound out of it

I did check that funny enough and it straight to the speaker. Sorry I meant can't hear it from 8 foot, only when you a foot or so you can just hear it. Got my suspicions on this thing now. Any ideas what teletone is ? Looking at the sheet from the website it list frequency responce as 4khz not range of frequencys. I'm guessing this is for something else ? Phone tones perhaps

I know this is an old thread now but just in case, the blue volume control pot on the control panel in this system is anti-clockwise for louder, clockwise for quieter.

I know this is counter intuitive but this is how it is designed! The type of pot they have used is usually for mounting on the reverse side of the board, I guess they just had them left over from an older design or something.

Hope this helps.
