jimcarter Posted November 6, 2014 Posted November 6, 2014 Today we have launched our new SPT.6 hardware platforms in Pro and Mini formats which are the first signalling devices to offer 3G as the standard radio communications paths for backup or primary signalling Another first is the unique Go Plus service. Broadband primary with radio recovery path. Chris Carter Brennan - WebWay M.D. writes... We are IP signalling and our goal is to connect every security system to IP (broadband or radio) technology to deliver better solutions. We're the market leader in IP signalling by far. We provide you with products that can use PSTN, but we've enabled every one with IP technology on board for when you want to switch. From a pricing point of view we're not referencing any of the legacy analogue providers. We've built our model based on the cost of the new equipment and how much it costs us to run and continually innovate our systems. We think you'll be pleasantly surprised. jimcarter Posted November 7, 2014 Author Posted November 7, 2014 Absolutely James. The mini retains an IP connection for Broadband signalling as standard as well as 3G. This gives you an upgrade path to a fixed line service should the radio service be poor without changing hardware (if you were initially installing in a radio only mode). 3G is a true data delivery service with vastly improved error correction and building penetration. In addition, the 3G modules are capable of switching back to Edge and 2G automatically if 3G becomes unavailable. We are looking at longevity here, fit once and do not replace. Hence we have gone to 3G as standard and in my opinion (as a forward thinking company) this is the right move considering the age and limitations of 2G as a service used for critical data transmission.
