Accord Xpc Co Activating Alarm

Hi, can someone help?  I have an Accord XPC panel.  The internal alarm went off on Sunday while I was out.  My neighbour told me when I got home and I noticed that it was zone 5, the CO detector.  I thought it was a one off but then it went off again Sunday night when we were all asleep.  Then again about 5 times yesterday evening so I ended up sleeping on the sofa in case it went off again during the night - which it didn't .  I came home tonight and it was going off again!

 

I have the manual and know the engineer code but can't work out how to turn the system off completely until I can get someone round to look at it.

 

At first I thought I could turn off zone 5 but I can't.

 

Any ideas?

Did you mean the CO2 detector? If so you better get your boiler checked

As above - please don't assume it's 'faulty'...

 

Although I did turn mine off on the boat being that I had no gas cylinder at the time and it just wouldn't stop going off.

Hi, yeah I'm sure it isn't going off because of CO, the boiler isn't on apart from the pilot light, and it wasn't on Sunday, I just want to turn the whole thing off while I organise someone to come and look at it.  I emailed the manufacturer this morning but they haven't replied.  To be certain I have a CO warning disc I can use just in case.

Are you sure your detector isn't doing it's job?

 

I am with these two what if you turn it off and there is a boiler fault. I would get a Stand alone CO detector from a good DIY store and put in the same room and see if it also goes off, If it does you have a boiler problem, Have you and your family felt ok and no head aches tiredness or any other simptoms.

Hi, yeah I have bought a CO detector to put in the hall which is where the CO sensor connected to the alarm is.  The boiler isn't on, and wasn't on Sunday when it first went off, the hall door was also shut and nobody is showing any symptoms of carbon monoxide poisoning.  The only headaches are coming from the internal alarm.

It is connected to a 24 hour circuit, so no you can't isolate it; purposely.

 

Just because the boiler is "off" that doesn't stop you being poisoned BTW.

I would consider put Zone 5 in soaktest which will still show on the control thats it been tripped but with out the internal sounder.

Ah, sounds good, any ideas how I can do that?  This isn't just an irritating beeping alarm, it's a full on internal siren that my neighbours can hear 3 doors away so really can't put up with it for long.
