mirving Posted January 9, 2015 Author Posted January 9, 2015 When we moved into the house the alarm wasn't working and I thought it might be the fuse (yes that someone was me!). The previous owner hadn't had the system serviced and the battery hadn't been changed.
sixwheeledbeast Posted January 9, 2015 Posted January 9, 2015 I wouldn't rule out the panel being faulty if there was power to it.
al-yeti Posted January 9, 2015 Posted January 9, 2015 That part you could swap out from any old alarm unit or make something up ie fuse
norman Posted January 9, 2015 Posted January 9, 2015 Indeed, or you could leave it to a professional and have the system serviced and re-commissioned with a new battery also. Nothing is foolproof to a sufficiently talented fool.
