What will probably happen if you require insurance cover you'll end buying a second install to get a Nacoss / Ssaib cert.

Dont be silly, so long as its installed to the relevant standards, any approved company will take it over.

If its not fitted by an approved company how do we know that its fitted to the correct standard then?

do we take it apart only to discover that the tamper lock out's enabled, or the nvm's locked?

That's why you must insist on a takeover visit to put any wrong's right before the maintenance contract is agreed and signed.

Nothing is foolproof to a sufficiently talented fool.

Very ture,

The only take overs my employer gets involed with, are the full company.

Bitter experience are single take over from unapproved co's or from bone head sparky's are a complete waste of time.

My personal best is finding 18 none latching pir's on the same circuit.

The question is are you really doing the client a favor by supporting their install, rather than ripping it out & fitting a real alarm

Is a good idea to compromise your standard of work to save money for the end user?

Before long you'll end up with more control equipment than you can shake a stick, so its 5am and can you find a book from that peace of Sh*$ Dsc 832 or Tunstall **** 6 or Ade Karsima or regalsafe RS100 ect...

No?

Best thing to replace the controls so why not replace the lot?

I don't need a book for DSC because it is NOT piece of S~*$...

Hundreds of them installed and no early (or late) wakeups, because of faulty equipment.

Naturally I agree that in case of takeover you have to be sure that installation achieves your high standards. This is done by full inspection of system, nothing less.

But of course if someone likes to be awake all the night rather often than early he shouldn't do that..

Well, you're not very happy are you?!

How else does a company obtain accreditation when a minimum trading time is required? :realmad:

how can you dislike the galaxy panel? It's one of the most versatile panels on the market!

If you don't know......ask.
