PeterJames Posted February 2, 2015 Posted February 2, 2015 Anyone else trying the technical preview? I downloaded it to a laptop tried it out for a while, it seems very stable so I am now using it on my new machine. Far better than Win 8 and cleaner than win 7 I like it a lot, its free and the links below http://windows.microsoft.com/en-gb/windows/preview-iso Quote
sixwheeledbeast Posted February 2, 2015 Posted February 2, 2015 Yuk, Windoze. TBH looking at the screenshots it's got more of a desktop feel about it over W8, which I would prefer. Quote
Lwillis Posted February 2, 2015 Posted February 2, 2015 Looks like they are giving away a tablet type version with the new Rasberh Pi's. I much prefer xp to windows 8 in terms of use on a PC so hopefully 10 should be a step in the right direction for a normal desktop OS Quote
james.wilson Posted February 2, 2015 Posted February 2, 2015 I quite like 8.1 Quote securitywarehouse Security Supplies from Security Warehouse Trade Members please contact us for your TSI vetted trade discount.

AdrianMealing Posted February 3, 2015 Posted February 3, 2015 And its gonna' be free for the first year for 7 & 8 Users http://www.itpro.co.uk/operating-systems/23119/windows-10-release-date-and-specs i hate 8 with a passion, both on laptop and desktop, definitely a tablet OS. 7 I love, it is everything Vista should have been. I might try it out on my home PC before the release. Quote amealing@texe.com Head of Industry Affairs Visit Our Website Texecom
al-yeti Posted February 3, 2015 Posted February 3, 2015 I still on Vista will only upgrade to this because (here I go) hkc software won't work with Vista , does it work with 10? Quote
AdrianMealing Posted February 3, 2015 Posted February 3, 2015 Whats to cost after the first year? No idea, i guess similar to what 8 is now, and i don't know that either. I still on Vista will only upgrade to this because (here I go) hkc software won't work with Vista , does it work with 10? Really? Vista is the biggest pile of dog poo to ever get loaded into a computer, i prefer XP to Vista, but 7 is worlds apart. I hope they have not screwed up 10, reports i have heard and read so far seem very positive. Quote amealing@texe.com Head of Industry Affairs Visit Our Website Texecom
