tsged Posted February 6, 2015 Posted February 6, 2015 Bit of an unusual one - we have an existing Paxton Net2 system (it's self-managed, and we've added a few doors to it through the years but there's no maintainence contract or anything like that in effect) and are looking to add access control to a wicket door in a roller shutter. Is there a generally recommended means of getting power to a maglock on a door that moves - would be a bit worried about having a cable that could get caught in the mechanism of the shutter. I had hoped there would be some sort of 'breakable' contact (e.g. low voltage contacts on the wall and on the shutter that are only connected when the shutter is in the closed position) but can't find anything like this. sixwheeledbeast Posted February 6, 2015 Posted February 6, 2015 Picture of the door? How is the door locked at the moment? As an aside have you ever had the system serviced? Quote
james.wilson Posted February 7, 2015 Posted February 7, 2015 You can but id guess the movement in the door would make it impractical. Door loop in the right place. But as a rule a mag on that type of has too much flex in it imo Quote securitywarehouse Security Supplies from Security Warehouse Trade Members please contact us for your TSI vetted trade discount.
DBS Posted February 10, 2015 Posted February 10, 2015 Here here to the above post. You might as well sleep outside of the door as you will be back to it that many times. Lol Quote
