Guest ALSEC Posted October 6, 2004 Posted October 6, 2004 Yeah, I was quite keen to see exactly what the quote was for. Any chance of some enlightenment KIM???

Chris Teague Posted October 6, 2004 Posted October 6, 2004 I agree with getting some more quotes. NSI or SSAIB. We don't know how big the property is, but 30 zones sounds fairly big to me. Press the surveyor as well into telling you how he plans to get the cables around the house concealed. Any decent surveyor will take this into consideration. Any that tell you its the Eng's problem I'd be wary of, as they only want the contract and will probably tell you anything you want to hear in order to get you to sign. Its worth paying a bit more and having the install team around a day or so longer in order to hide the cables. Post your location (town / city) and one of the forum members will probably be able to help you. Just about all of the firms on this forum are passionate about their quality & customer care. Guest Posted October 9, 2004 Posted October 9, 2004 A bit shaking everybody again.. what is the reason to hide the cables except customers view from the sofa?
Guest Posted October 9, 2004 Posted October 9, 2004 Or is it to make intruders job a bit harder, because you installed a piece of .... that is vulnerable to cable cutting/modificating..?
Service Engineer Posted October 9, 2004 Posted October 9, 2004 because you installed a piece of .... that is vulnerable to cable cutting/modificating..? All systems installed by the Trade members of this forum are fully tamper protected and tend to be installed to the highest standards. Most use equipment requiring EOL resistors so cable tampering is not a problem Its all part of the Standard job to hide the cables as well as possible. ........................................................ Paul P Posted October 10, 2004 Posted October 10, 2004 A bit shaking everybody again.. what is the reason to hide the cables except customers view from the sofa? 26758[/snapback] I think is because we feel we are PROFESSIONAL alarm installers and want to do a nice quality job for our customers.
