Vick Posted March 4, 2015 Posted March 4, 2015 I have successfully wired deol accord X pc at my current address. I am currently extending my property, there fore required some assistance with wiring double pirs and door contacts.
norman Posted March 4, 2015 Posted March 4, 2015 Hi Vick, If you are wiring double detection due to no spare zones then I'd suggest it's time for a bigger panel. If one zone alarms you won't know which detector is at fault. Nothing is foolproof to a sufficiently talented fool.

datadiffusion Posted March 4, 2015 Posted March 4, 2015 There are lots of inexpensive 16 zones panels out there now - I'd recommend doing that too rather than doubling up. So, I've decided to take my work back underground.... to stop it falling into the wrong hands
Vick Posted March 4, 2015 Author Posted March 4, 2015 I want to double up the pirs in the new bedroom and a back door. I do not want to spend £100 on new panel. If I buy a new panel then I will also have to buy a zone expander which I can not afford after spending so much on extension. I would be grateful if someone please assist wiring these.
sixwheeledbeast Posted March 4, 2015 Posted March 4, 2015 Don't believe the Accord supports multiple shunt resistors on one zone anyway. You need a bigger panel.
james.wilson Posted March 4, 2015 Posted March 4, 2015 i know it seems simple and is technically possible but no pro would advise it. either drop a less critical sensor and use that input or upgrade the panel securitywarehouse Security Supplies from Security Warehouse Trade Members please contact us for your TSI vetted trade discount.
datadiffusion Posted March 4, 2015 Posted March 4, 2015 I'd drop Sky etc... for a couple of months, that should pay for it. So, I've decided to take my work back underground.... to stop it falling into the wrong hands
Vick Posted March 5, 2015 Author Posted March 5, 2015 Why are everyone suggesting to replace the panel. I know I need to replace this old panel and I am fully aware that it is difficult to track down which pir or contact has se t of the alarm. But if I can I would like to use the same panel.
norman Posted March 5, 2015 Posted March 5, 2015 Why are everyone suggesting to replace the panel.Hi Vick, everyone is suggesting it because it's the correct and proper thing to do, on a professional forum with professional people who do this day in, day out no one will suggest a bodge, which is what you are asking. For the sake of c£100 to protect your property correctly? Come on you must see it makes sense to do it correctly. Nothing is foolproof to a sufficiently talented fool.
