al-yeti Posted March 5, 2015 Posted March 5, 2015 perhaps explain your whole zone setup, then someone could advise what to do
Vick Posted March 6, 2015 Author Posted March 6, 2015 I have a double doors at the back where I would like to wire double door contacts. Currently I have one pir in the living room and I would like to wire second because of the length of the room and the RSJ in the middle of the room. Currently have following zone setup Z1 front door contact Z2 back door contact. Now double doors Z3 kitchen pir Z4 living room pir now extended Z5 passage pir Z6 bedroom 1 pir Z7 bedroom 2 pir Z8 panic button I would like to double up zone 2 and 4
norman Posted March 6, 2015 Posted March 6, 2015 In reality the panic button would be unlikely to be used ime, is it a bungalow? Also let us see a floor plan showing doors and windows please. Nothing is foolproof to a sufficiently talented fool.
Rulland Posted March 6, 2015 Posted March 6, 2015 The living room must be huge then, pir's usually have quite a decent range.
Vick Posted March 6, 2015 Author Posted March 6, 2015 It's not a bungalow living room is 10.5 meters long
Rulland Posted March 6, 2015 Posted March 6, 2015 One should cover that, may have to replace it if it's an old 'en though. Assuming no real obstructions to the room.
Vick Posted March 6, 2015 Author Posted March 6, 2015 There is obstruction on middle of the room where the current extension is being built. It has RSJ and two side walls entrance to the extension is open. Does not have a door in middle. Pir does not trigger until coming to middle of the room There is obstruction on middle of the room where the current extension is being built. norman Posted March 6, 2015 Posted March 6, 2015 OK then, the 2 bedrooms, are they on the 1st floor and if so any flat roofs or other means of access? Are there any safes valuables in them? Nothing is foolproof to a sufficiently talented fool.
Vick Posted March 6, 2015 Author Posted March 6, 2015 Two bedrooms are on the first Floor. Extension has a pitch single storey roof. Just connect below the first floor bedroom windows
al-yeti Posted March 6, 2015 Posted March 6, 2015 Makes more sense now now , does the manual show on how to wire up contacts in series How does the door operate , overlapped or independently? model of pir in room? Perhaps reposition it , replace it with a longer range pir ?
