Guest widget Posted October 12, 2004 Posted October 12, 2004 I'm a girlie who needs some help!!! Don't know if anyone can help. I've an Optima XM alarm and recently I turned power off to fit a new light in Kitchen and when I turned power back on, the keypad to alarm has blown. I think I'd be ok fitting a new one if I knew where to get one from. Look forward to lots of help!!!
FASTCAR Posted October 12, 2004 Posted October 12, 2004 the keypad to alarm has blown. What is it doing now? it may just need a reset and a new battery, are any of the led indicators showing. The ADE Optima XM is now obsolete , you could replace it with a Optima Compact or Texecom 8C.
Guest widget Posted October 12, 2004 Posted October 12, 2004 red light on power and green light on day. the flat cable to the keypad looks burnt too? I'll see if i can changeb battery first. any idea how much i'd have to pay to get box replaced? - on a tight budget!!
Guest widget Posted October 12, 2004 Posted October 12, 2004 I'm based just north of Barnsley - are you in Wakefield? I've had a quote to replace system at £110 - using a veritas 8??? would be better if could just change battery
Guest RICHL Posted October 12, 2004 Posted October 12, 2004 If the flat cable to the keypad is burnt then there's not much point in trying to fix the rest of it. £110 for a new panel is cheap.
Guest Posted October 12, 2004 Posted October 12, 2004 if she would be in trouble in Finland i had already fixed it for free... whats wrong with you guys????
Guest RICHL Posted October 12, 2004 Posted October 12, 2004 500 miles?? you do know what the steering wheel is for dont you Pete?!
Guest Posted October 12, 2004 Posted October 12, 2004 Youve never been to England have you Georg 27059[/snapback] Yes I have been to England. I have to disappoint you but Finland is 338000 km2 large and is 1261 kilometres long. My fellows in north have average distance of 200 km to the customer. Driving 800 kilometres needs one coffee break somewhere in the middle..
