Though I can't understand why you disconnected the phoneline if you just want to chance the numbers.. Or vice versa: If you wanted to chance the phone number, why did you disconnect the phoneline???

The first number was ringing the widow of the late general manager at a social club. Not the best thing that she should get calls at 1am when a staff member messed up by leaving a window open thus triggering the alarm, no doubt causing her some distress in the process but I guess pulling the phoneline out could avoid causing any upset to this dear lady as a short term measure.
