PeterJames Posted September 20, 2015 Posted September 20, 2015 I need to store the scan docs to a drive on my SME server does anyone know how to set this up? It would be good to store all data on the SME Quote
MrHappy Posted September 20, 2015 Posted September 20, 2015 IIRC AM's optional "file & scan" is just a button to twain scanner which should scan direct to correspondence file ? Path should work regards of server OS ? Being cheap I scan to a USB stick & cut & paste stuff... Quote Mr Veritas God
james.wilson Posted September 20, 2015 Posted September 20, 2015 Can it be moved to a network share by default? I'd assume it has a save location Quote securitywarehouse Security Supplies from Security Warehouse Trade Members please contact us for your TSI vetted trade discount.
PeterJames Posted September 21, 2015 Author Posted September 21, 2015 Sussed it, make a correspond folder in the network drive (which I have done) then copy the 100gig or so of correspondence from the AM server machine to a usb drive (copying over the network would take too long) everyone has to be out of AM so I have to do this in the evening. Then copy it to the new folder and map everyone to the new drive for correspondence only, again everyone has to be out of AM whilst this is done, its gonna take a bit of planning because I cannot let anyone use AM between taking it off one machine and putting it on the server, and I cannot let anyone use AM whilst copying it to the USB so it has to be done outside working hours Quote
james.wilson Posted September 21, 2015 Posted September 21, 2015 Network will be faster than usb is say. Quote securitywarehouse Security Supplies from Security Warehouse Trade Members please contact us for your TSI vetted trade discount.
MrHappy Posted September 21, 2015 Posted September 21, 2015 Create new folder "new_correspondence" in the location needed Copy & paste existing files into this folder when finished change name of "new_correspondence" to "correspondence" after changing the existing "correspondence" to "old_correspondence" ? AM could say up but you'd have to manually move files changed on the day ? Quote Mr Veritas God
PeterJames Posted September 21, 2015 Author Posted September 21, 2015 Copying just to the usb was 5hr 15min so I havent copied it over yet, I will probably do it over the weekend over the network using TV. Quote
