jasonc Posted October 16, 2015 Posted October 16, 2015 Hi Need some help. My panel flashed +BAT MIS today. First time its ever shown this and I looked up advice and it suggests a faulty battery. I have the engineering code etc and pretty conversant with what to do to change the battery however I don;t know which battery to buy? The manual suggests a 12v 7amh battery with a plastic box and 12v 17amh for a metal box? When reading the installation guide on connecting the battery is says a min can be 12v 7amh but when reading the Honeywell site it says for a 2-20 you need 12v 12amh min? What minimum should I use? I see Screwfix has 7amh but I have to search wider to find a 12amh. The current battery in the unit was installed in 2007 and is a Texecom 12v 18ah. Thanks Quote
jasonc Posted October 16, 2015 Author Posted October 16, 2015 its ok I called my original installer and he recommended anything up from 7amh but for Grade 2 cert which mine is 17amh so I'm going to pick one up. Quote

sixwheeledbeast Posted October 16, 2015 Posted October 16, 2015 We are talking DIY help here. Seems sensible advise if there has been no issues. I would hope the system was installed correctly. Do I really need to have this sort of disclaimer for every DIY post? Obviously the ideal solution is have an approved installer service the system, but that wasn't the question. Quote
Lwillis Posted October 16, 2015 Posted October 16, 2015 good luck on getting a 17ah battery in a g2-12. never seen anything bigger than a 12ah in a g2-12 Quote
