whitenotred Posted January 4, 2016 Author Posted January 4, 2016 Thanks for the (mixed) responses, and yes I do have short arms and deep pockets ! But, my Optima 2 Plus alarm does a perfectly good job ... until we have power cuts. Basically, the battery backup does not kick in - it did it again last night at 3:00 a.m. ! I have found the following battery - can anyone please confirm this is what I need ? ..... http://www.batterycompany.co.uk/shop/power-sonic-12-volt-batteries/power-sonic-ps1221-12v-21ah-rechargeable-sla-battery/?gclid=CIX11er4j8oCFc8aGwodlM0L3Q#6534 Many thanks. PeterJames Posted January 4, 2016 Posted January 4, 2016 Could be a waste of money if the battery has been out for a long time the charging circuit is very likely to be no good, as said earlier at least check that there is power coming from the battery terminals before wasting your money on a new battery.
