tvrulesme Posted January 6, 2016 Author Posted January 6, 2016 There is one man... if he can't help, no one can... ayt.png Seriously though, I wouldn't expect them to do it for free 9 years or not as at the end of the day you want it moved for your own benefit, it's no real fault of ADTs? Also I wouldn't assume you'll get a 'free upgrade' if it breaks, they must have warehouses full of 'new old' repair stock or even more sensibly they get the manufacturer to do it for them many years after they stopped selling it. Agreed, completely my benefit but it won't stop me asking the question ADT and especially their engineers have always been very good so as long as the refurb equipment works well I'd be happy. Quote
norman Posted January 6, 2016 Posted January 6, 2016 Personally I would have no issue paying as it would be my choice, but you could either call the local branch and ask to speak with the Service Manager, if that fails speak with the retentions department prior to cancelling and I'm sure they will help. tvrulesme Posted January 6, 2016 Author Posted January 6, 2016 Many thanks. I agree that I should pay. I just think £100 call out is a little steep when I could easily fit this in around their quarterly service visits. Maybe I will try that first and hopefully only need to pay for the £52 labour. norman Posted January 6, 2016 Posted January 6, 2016 Maybe ask if they can bring the service forward instead? Quote Nothing is foolproof to a sufficiently talented fool.
tvrulesme Posted January 6, 2016 Author Posted January 6, 2016 Will do. Thanks again. Will update with the outcome once the line is moved. Quote
PeterJames Posted January 6, 2016 Posted January 6, 2016 Will do. Thanks again. Will update with the outcome once the line is moved. You sound like the sort of customer they should be wanting to keep, if you were one of mine I would try my best to luck after you fairly , hopefully they will see it that way too. Good luck Quote
