Juandaman Posted December 11, 2016 Posted December 11, 2016 Hi, hope you have sorted it ok. I found that every time I down powered the Router my WAN changed as we all have Dinamic IP addresses and had to change it in the settings, now I have my router fed via a 12v PSU so hopefully it should stay the same. I am interested in knowing how do you configure outputs to operate them via the App. Thanks, Juan Quote
Niki1986 Posted December 13, 2023 Posted December 13, 2023 Hi guys I have a galaxy flex panel, also have a max3 reader outdoors which is set to a sep zone that arms and disarms the alarm for our yard outside, i know I can get the ethernet module and download the gx control app, how is this set up? Would i need a static ip addess? Or is there any other way of doing this? We use a 4g sim router (tp link) as it has the best quality signal and speeds in our area. Any kind of help would be appriciated. Thanks Quote

Stagdad Posted December 2 Posted December 2 Hi there. Having the same issue with GX remote suddenly not connecting. Can you explain how to “power cycle the Ethernet card” ? Thanks. Quote
GalaxyGuy Posted December 3 Posted December 3 Either remove power to the module or power the complete system down including battery. Quote

What panel is it connected to? 2 hours ago, GalaxyGuy said: Either remove power to the module or power the complete system down including battery. Does any of the galaxy reboot from menu like dimension? But I assume it won't reboot or flush the ethernet card? Quote

But I assume it won't reboot or flush the ethernet card? That's correct. There's no way to reboot the modules from menu. The pre v4.16 modules can crash the Ethernet interface and when this happens, they need to be power cycled. It's a total pain, so I always advise upgrading to the latest version or SelfMon module.
