can u fit a normal dc to a garage door?

Don't see why not as long as it detects the opening sufficiently and is tampered and all the rest of it. Done it a few times before. Sometimes you just can't get a roller shutter on suitably.

I'd commonly use d75 or h10 on retractable or canponny doors
