Brian c Posted October 19, 2004 Posted October 19, 2004 Are you talking about a system with seperate lights and sensors or all in one units? If you don't know......ask.
Guest roy bailey Posted October 19, 2004 Posted October 19, 2004 which fuse, the one in your house or the one in your light? 28173 the one in the house in the main box
Guest roy bailey Posted October 19, 2004 Posted October 19, 2004 Are you talking about a system with seperate lights and sensors or all in one units? 28175 the one that caused the problem has a seperate pir, the other two are all in one.
Guest Guest Posted October 20, 2004 Posted October 20, 2004 I take it then that the PIR now has power restored, and is now comming on regardless of light level.In which case you need to interrupt the power for a second or so (it should have an inline switch somewhere) , that should change the mode the light works in. If not then try again. 28183 U K yes; power to pir no;
Guest Posted October 21, 2004 Posted October 21, 2004 how do I reset the pir units, after a bulb burst and triped the fuze in the systemthey do not work anymore. the lights still work from the switches. please help 28171 Usual thing is the bulb blows and the power surge burns out the PIR and\or blows a fuse. You're probably going to need a new PIR.
Guest Posted October 22, 2004 Posted October 22, 2004 no power to the PIR would suggest that either a inline fuse (like a switched fuse spur has blown) or power is not leaving your distribution board. 28468 I can't see how the light would work if there were no power to the PIR though, (assuming it had been wired properly in the first place). roys first post suggests that there is power to the manual override circuit just not the PIR, if it's been fitted with manual and automic feeds to the lamp coming from different circuits then it sounds like a total bodge, either that or someone's not quite sure what's going on! Roy, if you are not 100% confident about what you are doing then DONT TOUCH MAINS DEVICES - THEY MAY KILL YOU !!!!!! 28468 I think that's the best bit of advice yet.
