If its monitored it does need to be installed to the relevant standard, if its not monitored or its self monitored what you declare the system as makes it relevant to how its installed and affects your liability as the installer and the risk to the client and their insurance premium?.

insurance premium has fook all to do with it, very few insurance knock anything off and if they do its twenty quid.

Of course they do, generally grade 2 EN50131 with a bit of PD bolox thrown in.

Just sold another quantam70 today cracking little panel

 

I tell all my customers don't attach to insurance to save £20 as it will cost you more when you forget to set and they don't pay up, even the ones who go with a urn don't bother with the insurance discount these days because they know its not worth the £20
