Daker Posted April 17, 2016 Posted April 17, 2016 Hi, I hope you guys can assist. I have just DIY installed a Pyronix Enforcer but no matter what I attempt, cannot get the door entry delay to work. The door sensor (MC2-WE) is set as an 'Entry Route' and the delay to about 20 secs but the alarm is activating within just a few seconds of the front door opening. The control panel is confirming its the door, not any other sensor which is triggering it. I also have remote control key fobs so have set those to disarm the system, which is fine, but would like to get the door delay working the way it should in case one of us forgets the key fob. The door sensor is obviously working but I can only guess I have somehow missed something / got a mis-match in the programming menus despite having now gone through it multiple times, so any suggestions please. Thanks in advance. Quote
jammin31 Posted April 17, 2016 Posted April 17, 2016 Program it as entry exit or final exit (cant remeber the options now) not entry route Quote
Daker Posted April 17, 2016 Author Posted April 17, 2016 Wow, I really wasn't expecting a quick response on a Sunday afternoon, thank you so much ! Simple as that => now SORTED !! I had ruled out the Final Exit as I really wanted the exit to be timed and assumed (wrongly obviously) that it was one or the other ! I also have a PIR in the hall which I have set to 'Entry Route' in order that its not triggered at the same time which seems to be correct. Whilst I'm here, am I right in thinking the white grills inside the PIRs are the 'Pet Friendly' element, effectively just de-sensitising the PIR ? As such, if I don't have pets can I just remove those to increase the sensitivity ? Quote
jammin31 Posted April 17, 2016 Posted April 17, 2016 I maybe wrong but that lens is in all detectors pet or non pet and would be better left in full stop, it wont make any difference to the protection the system offers you. and yes a zone activated after a final exit zone is entry route if you want the zone to be passed without triggering it on route to the keypad / panel. Night Owl Posted April 17, 2016 Posted April 17, 2016 Hi The 'white grills' are the pet friendly version. Quote
jammin31 Posted April 17, 2016 Posted April 17, 2016 I stand corrected !! wow its been ages since i fitted a non pet friendly detector lol Quote
Daker Posted April 17, 2016 Author Posted April 17, 2016 Thanks guys. The Pet Friendly grills are now out and a quick walk test confirmed they are indeed much more sensitive now Eg - Previously I could move towards the living room PIR from the far end of the room, or just move my arm without triggering it but both will now activate the PIR so job's a good 'un. Thanks for being there ! ;-) Quote
