Intruder fault help!

Featured Replies

Hi guys, can anyone help me out with the following.

I have an accenta compact. My problems first started with zone 1 which is a PIR.

The keypad was showing the zone 1 LED and the internal sounder was producing a rapid tone. This was preventing the system being armed.

I joined through the the alarm and tamper pair in the PIR and the above stopped and I could arm the system. So I replaced this PIR. The system then allowed me to arm.

However, the following day external siren was activated but There was no indication as to what caused the alarm.

I then had trouble silencing the external sounder. The system would even allow me to arm it while the sounder was still

sounding.

I undid the bel box to find a couple of fairly loose connections. I tightened these but now the bell box does not trigger. But. If I remove the fuse in the panel then the sounder operates via its batteries.

Can an anyone point me in the right direction so that I can get things back up and running?

Thanks in advance!!

Thanks for the reply.

The tamper connection was loose when I opened up the bell box. All connections are now tight.

what is the best way to test to clarify to root cause?
