Where are you guys based?

I've been scanning the situations vacant sites and everything seems to be down south, not a lot of good to me in North Wales

If an experienced Subby is of any help, drop me a message.

I've learned so much from my mistakes, I'm thinking of making a few more..

I've enough work but under staffed to start with,

Mended the van yesterday.... engine light has been on months, after a week of looking I found my cheapo elm327 scanner lead & then looked the fault codes on the internet

P0093 - Fuel System Leak Detected - Large Leak

P1351 - IDM input circuit Malfunction/Ignition coil control circuit High voltage (Siemens system - Pre/Post heating relay circuit. Relay not controlled and glow plugs supplied).

Whipped the plastic engine cover off & had a look how hard replacing glow plugs or the relay would be, had wipe around the top end as there a small amount of oil present, guess the oil might be diesel from the bolt which secure an injector, checked 'em with a torx bit on a ratchet & no.1 is very loose &  no. 3 is quite loose.

Fire the old beast up, no faults present, press the reset button & volá engines light is off & remained for 100+ml of chasing around happyland today,

I'd bet the tame mong in my local garage would have charged lots & taken a long time to mend it, call me Dr Diesel ;)

Of course the garage would charge you, unless you have a maintence contract with them, Ha Ha

P0093 is for fuel system leak but if it comes back can also be for blocked fuel filter and may have code p0087 come up.

I would suspect if you had a leak at the injectors, for it to bring up the code it would have had to be more then damp,

I am guessing it is common rail set up, be carefull as system pressure is 300 bar ish at idle going up to 1200 bar at full.

Does the elm give you live readings, they can be so useful, I use the bosch kts570 even a tame mong can use it but takes a week of training to learn it.:D
