Stuart Pittaway Posted July 10, 2016 Posted July 10, 2016 I've got a Texecom Premier Elite 48W - DIY installed. There are a mix of wired PIR's and Wireless Ricochet PIR's. No faults or issues on the panel or event log, walk test is okay and all sensors respond, commissioning jumper is removed. The problem I have is, when the wireless PIR is triggered when alarm is armed, the Wintex event log shows "Alarm - Zone 010 Guard Alarm", followed by "Not Reported/Alarm Active" however the bell doesn't trigger. If I do the same with the wired PIR, I get event logs of "Alarm - Zone 003 Guard Alarm" followed by "Confirmed intruder" and "Confirmed alarm" then "Bell active". I can't find any options that seem to affect this behaviour - why is it doing it ?!? Quote
Stuart Pittaway Posted July 10, 2016 Author Posted July 10, 2016 Just to add the PIR's are set to Hybrid mode in Wintex Quote
al-yeti Posted July 10, 2016 Posted July 10, 2016 Don't know much about these but you sure your not doing it to soon ie wait a few mins after arming then try and trigger see what it does Quote
Stuart Pittaway Posted July 10, 2016 Author Posted July 10, 2016 Don't think so, the cat triggered the sensor after about 3 hours (accidentally left internal door open and cat wondered in!) however the bells didn't go off :-( Quote
dufjax Posted July 10, 2016 Posted July 10, 2016 (edited) Also not familiar with these panels. How have you got the zone setup? Is it set to (3) guard? Forget that you said it's set to guard. Edited July 10, 2016 by dufjax Quote
james.wilson Posted July 11, 2016 Posted July 11, 2016 I don't know them either but a single activation should not cause a confirm Quote securitywarehouse Security Supplies from Security Warehouse Trade Members please contact us for your TSI vetted trade discount.
MrHappy Posted July 11, 2016 Posted July 11, 2016 wireless pir in same ward as bell ? Quote Mr Veritas God
sixwheeledbeast Posted July 11, 2016 Posted July 11, 2016 That would be my guess, Bell not in the same Area as the Zone. Also PIR's should be Auto, DT's are Hybrid. Quote
Stuart Pittaway Posted July 11, 2016 Author Posted July 11, 2016 Thank you for the comments so far! Assume "WARD" is "AREA" in Texecom terms - then everything is set to area "A" - I only have a single area configured. Frustrated with this!! :-( Quote
