Hi , im new to this forum

my names Steve by the way , this weekend i went away come back to the House open the door and there was no burglar alarm tone ... which i thought was strange ,

only to find out my electric had ran out ! my fault i know for not checking before i left, the problem i have now is that there are no lights on my key pad, when i press the keys the ligha light iup and make a tone noise, but thats it , i cant set the alarm like before i left the house, i cant see its the battery back up as its only happened because my electricity cut off whilst i was away for the weekend >

any advice would be greatly appreciated

Thanks in advance

ooooo a bit harsh....... CEF are proud of their alarms.... Every time we go in there they try and sell us one.... My response is always "why are you using a scantronic if your's are so good"

i dont think ill be chucking it in a skip, after all i think the battery backup has been depleted, so therefore  , i think ill disconnect the power supply  take out the battery and charge it up , and see what happens from there ! the whole alarm system is only 18 months old ,

May just required a reset , but if the battery was faulty which can happen, full discharge may have  damaged the battery during the self inflicted power cut , better to take it out buy a replacement
