ElecTech Posted July 27, 2016 Posted July 27, 2016 I can see that the fob is a HID iClass fob... My question is - is there many variants of this fob? Customer is looking for replacements - am I going to need to get a picture of the reader or is there one HID iClass fob type? Quote

ElecTech Posted July 27, 2016 Author Posted July 27, 2016 Ok so there's no different variants of an "iClass fob"...? i.e. 16k bit or 32k bit. (not sure on what this means or even if it makes a difference operationally I just saw the difference on the web and thought id ask. Quote

Arron Posted July 28, 2016 Posted July 28, 2016 Many of HID's products are proprietary, if you use Mifare or Desfire, or CPU card, there will be countless choices Quote
JasonOfOz Posted September 16, 2016 Posted September 16, 2016 We have been stung on multiple ocassions with these things, albeit mostly cards as i think there are more limited options when it comes to fobs. We even bought our own universal reader but even that has landed us in hotwater because each system can read the string of numbers differently. Safest thing to do is to either send it directly into HID or the team up at Advanced Access are pretty good at figuring it out. Quote
