Newbietexecom24
Hi everyone, I want to setup two users for our home and keyfobs, but I'm not quite sure how to do this via wintex and also how I should structure them. For example what is the difference between ENGINEER and MASTER and why do we need both? Also what is the difference between MASTER and STANDARD? Also if I setup 2 keyfobs, i.e. 2 standard users, would I need to carry a seperate master keyfob?
james.wilson
Engineer is for programming the setup of the system Master is for programming user codes, changing time etc Standard is for arming disarming etc There may be slight differences but I don't know that panel Quote securitywarehouse Security Supplies from Security Warehouse Trade Members please contact us for your TSI vetted trade discount. Newbietexecom24
Thanks for explaining james. Whilst I was awaiting a reply, I've managed to setup two users. However, I just wanted to know how people setup their prox tag systems. I mean assuming your two adults in the house, then would you have two standard user tags and one master tag to put away in case of emergencies? Newbietexecom24
The master fob can be put away in a safe place and in the event that the missus could not manually turn off the alarm, then she can find this and use it. Also what do I do with the rest of the tags? Edited July 30, 2016 by Newbietexecom24

Just because they come in packs of five doesn't mean you have to use five. Leave the surplus to program if required in the future-in the end station is a good place, they won't get mislaid. Newbietexecom24
Ahh right I see. Thanks for clarifying that.
Newbietexecom24
I don't know if this is possible, but how can I setup to have a user which can ONLY Arm & Disarm, but should not see or access any other option. At the moment, using a fob and standard user settings, it asks all sorts of questions and also allows the user to access various menus. I want this stopped. If this is possible, could you please tell me what settings in wintex I need to enable/disable?
