al-yeti Posted September 27, 2016 Posted September 27, 2016 What equipment is it? Components work fine in very warm areas , probably more prone to failure in a loft where temp changes more often , but depends on build quality Of course this could all be blag Quote
Dwm90 Posted September 27, 2016 Author Posted September 27, 2016 its a hikvision dvr and we use dynamics iiyama leds monitors .... i was thinking in regards to a fire risk so you think its acceptable? Quote
redsun Posted September 27, 2016 Posted September 27, 2016 My main concern would be the hard drive too. Suppose monitor will be switched off most of time. I'm sure the purple hard drive can manage up to 65 degrees C tho . How hot do you think the cupboard is? maybe just factor in some early replacement costs if on contract or warranty Quote
Dwm90 Posted September 27, 2016 Author Posted September 27, 2016 Not sure buddy... we have a combi so can't remember last time I was in one at a guess about 26 degrees maybe? They wouldn't be anything near the dvr I.E towels etc just a clear shelf guys glad I've got some reassurance il see how we get on maybe I'm thinking they get alot hotter than they do Quote
redsun Posted September 27, 2016 Posted September 27, 2016 Trouble is they'll probably end up using dvr as a shelf! Quote
james.wilson Posted September 27, 2016 Posted September 27, 2016 if its got a tank in it, it will be a lot hotter than 26 Quote securitywarehouse Security Supplies from Security Warehouse Trade Members please contact us for your TSI vetted trade discount.

I still wouldn't myself, though. Edited September 27, 2016 by datadiffusion Quote So, I've decided to take my work back underground.... to stop it falling into the wrong hands
Dwm90 Posted September 27, 2016 Author Posted September 27, 2016 Do you think I should tell them it's not suitable? As I do have doubts on installing it in the suggested location Quote
