Can anyone please tell me if the wicks keyfobs are the same as the responce ones?

Iv just got hold of a secound hand responce alarm and would like to know if the strob light is meant to flash when you arm or disarm it because sometimes mine will and sometimes not

In the manual it say`s something about led`s flashing(iv yet to see any led`s flash)

Its the responce alarm with the yellow box if that helps

If anyone out there reading this has a responce alarm can you please let me know if you have had any problems

Iv tested the alarm and all seems to be ok,iv just got to get around to fit it

Many thanks

PETE

Hi smart1

Yes the alarm is a solar powered one,iv seen the key fobs for the wicks alarms and they look like the responce ones,i guess i will have to give them a call

I guess a lot of you don`t rate these alarms then

God knows what you think of the moss and mircomark then?.....

The remote has 8 dip switches in

So who makes them alarms for wicks then?

Hi Pete,

The strobe may not be charging fully on the short trigger that gives the set pulse, providing it works OK on activation I wouldn't worry.

You need to ring the manufacturers about the fob's as a lot of the DIY market although the same is re branded for the likes of the big DIY shed's.

Nothing is foolproof to a sufficiently talented fool.

I would, but only if the 1st part of the job was to wrench it off the wall and sling it down the street and the 2nd part of the job was to put something in that worked.

You sound like a bunch of techno snobs boys. An alarm is an alarm professional or DIY if your skills are needed so the customer shall pay.

As for the key fobs check TX frequency and Dill combo. Why don

An alarm is an alarm

Not in this case, I certainly wouldn't be confident using a Response thingy as an alarm. Doorstop - yes, alarm - no.

I know that people have had them fitted for years and never had a problem but have they ever been broken into?
