1animal1 Posted November 10, 2016 Author Posted November 10, 2016 I agree, we're mere mortals. This has come about as I still have an auxiliary fault and bell fault on the panel. Siren showing left LED flash which indicates open tamper circuit
sixwheeledbeast Posted November 10, 2016 Posted November 10, 2016 Aux tamper with no wires in? Adjustment screw on the back tamper in the bell?
1animal1 Posted November 10, 2016 Author Posted November 10, 2016 Will give that a go on Saturday. Do I need to short the bell tamper at the panel.

I can only assume you mean the "AUX TAMP", this will need to be closed if you are not using it for axillary equipment. Tamper protection is an important part of alarm systems, linking any "bell tamper" that is used will stop the alarm triggering if the bell is attacked. 1
1animal1 Posted November 10, 2016 Author Posted November 10, 2016 Thanks, so because my bell is grade 2.... It's less protected. What is the single tamp for that's in the five cables....

The bells are also designed to work with other manufacturers kit, so extra tamper terminals are provided on Grade 3 boxes if you need trigger wire monitoring and all that jazz. 1
james.wilson Posted November 10, 2016 Posted November 10, 2016 dont worry about grade 3. You cant do it without proper signalling anyway. As a self install you will do well to hit grade 2 2 securitywarehouse Security Supplies from Security Warehouse Trade Members please contact us for your TSI vetted trade discount.
