mountianrider Posted October 26, 2016 Posted October 26, 2016 Hi All I'm proposing to install a 2 camera system on a customers garage, but he want's to view it on the TV. So my options are: Get both IP cameras onto a PoE switch and transmit them on a mains Ethernet link - like the Netgear jobby and put the NVR adj the TV, job done. OR Get a HDMI transmitter and send the video from the garage over to the telly. Suggestions? Quote
james.wilson Posted October 26, 2016 Posted October 26, 2016 id go for the HDMI route as if the link fails the unit in the garage will still have viable recordings Quote securitywarehouse Security Supplies from Security Warehouse Trade Members please contact us for your TSI vetted trade discount.
Lwillis Posted October 27, 2016 Posted October 27, 2016 I'd go NVR in garage in a secure cabinet and a Spot monitor decoder in the house via the ethernet link. As above NVR should then always have recordings Quote
al-yeti Posted October 27, 2016 Posted October 27, 2016 Spot decoder will make it expensive no? Quote

Litch90 Posted October 29, 2016 Posted October 29, 2016 Don't buy an ACTi decoder you'll pay over £250 for one.. but they are good if you can stretch.. Quote
