Concept 6 alarm, worked ok for a long time. Yesterday the house alarm sounded, it took the wife ages to get it to turn off. Now it won't reset, when I enter the 4 digit code, all zones (4) light up red making a continuous beep and the alarm won't set. I have to re-enter the code again to stop the beeping.

New battery ordered because the old one is out of date. Not sure that's he problem. Anyone can help?

Possibly too late with the battery and the charger has overheated and failed.

Are the fuses all OK? I assume it 'went off' when unset, just internally or outside bell.

And when you say it 'took ages to turn off' did the code work for inside but the outside bell carried on for say, 20 minutes?

To be honest ancient panel for the bin IMHO

It maybe repairable but if they don't get serviced regularly they can go pop.

Have an engineer attend to it, see what they think.

A new battery may work but your not sure if other equipment is damaged/faulty.

But if the outside siren carried on this suggests a fuse blown. The outside siren would probably still be going off now, were it not for it's inbuilt timer.

Do you have any PIRs (motion sensors)? Did they show a red light when you walked past them before, and if so do they still do that now?

Sounds more like the external sounder tampered hence why it continued to sound after the code was entered

Yep also possible
