Sodyathen Posted December 11, 2016 Posted December 11, 2016 Ok, so like a dingbat I removed the front of the main control box, not realising that there was a tamper alarm that was activated, requiring me to turn off the alarm using the control panel. I'm a wally. But now the display on the control panel says "UNSET ALARMS.......T" with the 'T' flashing. I can't remove the message despite typing in my 4-digit PIN or pressing RESET. Any ideas what I can do? Quote
Sodyathen Posted December 11, 2016 Author Posted December 11, 2016 (edited) I moved into the house a couple of days ago. There's no manual, and CODE doesn't work. How would I reset? Edited December 12, 2016 by sixwheeledbeast Quote

PeterJames Posted December 11, 2016 Posted December 11, 2016 If there are no numbers anywhere its probably a sparky job or DIY. Did the previous owner/tenant not say anything? Texe is a basic panel most alarm co's will be able to help you out, so if all out fails google search for an installer near you Quote
Rulland Posted December 11, 2016 Posted December 11, 2016 (edited) Are you sure that 1234 is the user code?. Edited December 11, 2016 by Rulland Duplicate text Quote
sixwheeledbeast Posted December 12, 2016 Posted December 12, 2016 (edited) Do you know the code, are you sure is correct? Is this an Excel keypad with a LCD DIsplay? Do you know why it when into tamper in the first place? Edited December 12, 2016 by sixwheeledbeast Quote
Sodyathen Posted December 12, 2016 Author Posted December 12, 2016 I know my usual code, but not an engineers code. Yes, it's a keypad with LCD display. it when into 'tamper' because I was being nosey in our basement not realising that unscrewing the box that I found would activate the alarm! Quote
norman Posted December 12, 2016 Posted December 12, 2016 Check the spring on the inside of the control unit that should make contact with the lid, it may be either missing (on the floor) or not seated correctly, then try to reset again using your code and the 'reset' button.
