I would recommend the Visonic Powermax, very easy to install and easy to navigate the menu system. The powermax also comes as a quick fit kit with the detectors already learnt onto the system. Great coverage too! :)

For the avoidance of doubt, OP, this is bad.

So, I've decided to take my work back underground.... to stop it falling into the wrong hands

Although, bad is not really a word I would use, lets put this into prospective. There are certain vulnerabilities to one way wireless, but with all security systems the total risk should be considered. If your property is likely to be of interest to professional burglars then this type of system would not be suitable. But I suspect if you had this sort of risk you would not be DIYing and certainly would not be asking questions about security on a public forum. Assuming that you just want to deter the local druggies/opportunist that would not have the first clue about security systems or their vulnerabilities then the powermax would be suitable.

i dont agree, using 1 way when 2 way is available is daft regardless of risk. Would you still use a pressure mat or a pir?
