norman Posted December 17, 2016 Posted December 17, 2016 Ah, just wondered, and yes it's a good idea if it lasts. Quote Nothing is foolproof to a sufficiently talented fool.
ourgavs Posted December 30, 2016 Posted December 30, 2016 I would recommend the Visonic Powermax, very easy to install and easy to navigate the menu system. The powermax also comes as a quick fit kit with the detectors already learnt onto the system. Great coverage too! Quote
alanfox Posted December 30, 2016 Author Posted December 30, 2016 I am looking at Visonic Powermax. Should i wire the external sounder or use the wireless sounder that runs power on the battery Quote
james.wilson Posted December 30, 2016 Posted December 30, 2016 powermax is 1way wireless though Quote securitywarehouse Security Supplies from Security Warehouse Trade Members please contact us for your TSI vetted trade discount.

Although, bad is not really a word I would use, lets put this into prospective. There are certain vulnerabilities to one way wireless, but with all security systems the total risk should be considered. If your property is likely to be of interest to professional burglars then this type of system would not be suitable. But I suspect if you had this sort of risk you would not be DIYing and certainly would not be asking questions about security on a public forum. Assuming that you just want to deter the local druggies/opportunist that would not have the first clue about security systems or their vulnerabilities then the powermax would be suitable. 1 Quote
norman Posted December 30, 2016 Posted December 30, 2016 +1, it's all about the level of risk you wish to address. Quote Nothing is foolproof to a sufficiently talented fool.
datadiffusion Posted December 30, 2016 Posted December 30, 2016 Disagree that one way is poor only because of risk. Quote So, I've decided to take my work back underground.... to stop it falling into the wrong hands
