Hi wondering if anyone could help I'm doing an unoccupied rewire on a house for a builder and part of that was running the cables in for a intruder alarm. finished of the snagging today and the customer has asked if I would mind fitting the alarm as they've been let down by the person who was supposed to do it. I had a look at the kit they've ordered and they have a premier elite 24 panel but texecom reflex pir's.....Am I right in thinking these pir's are normally open? If they are then obviously wont be compatible using double pole end of line method as they need to be normally closed. can any one confirm this? Thanks Lee :)

Thanks James I cant work it out... I started rigging the panel up at home to see if they would work before I posted here ....4K7 resistor in parallel across alarm terminals and and 2K2 in series across tamper. So blue from panel in to 1st alarm terminal at pir, 4K7 resistor across alarm terminal, 2K2 from alarm terminal in to tamper, from other tamper terminal to panel. programmed as double EOL but comes up as active when checking zone status? any ideas? cheers

hi

Texecom looks for 2k2  across  two cores  end of line  with 4k7 as a shunt across the alarm relay only as a single eol

Whenever you change the resistance values in programming you have to exit engineers for the changes to take effect.

Threw me when I was replacing a Galaxy, progged as 1k/1k (3k), but came up tamper until I exited engineers.

Same as i-On then, really annoying when you CANT exit for some reason (i.e dets connected but covers off) but want to try something out :-(

So, I've decided to take my work back underground.... to stop it falling into the wrong hands
