Guest krash Posted October 25, 2004 Posted October 25, 2004 Can any one tell me how to get the cover of one of these things. I have all the documentation on use and programming but nothing to tell me how to get it off the wall. My wife and kids are now at the point of ridiculing me ....... Help please.
Guest krash Posted October 27, 2004 Posted October 27, 2004 Just about ready to take a hammer to it now, come on surely someone can give me a hint before I have to clean up all the mess. PLEASSSSSEEEEEE.
Guest simmo Posted October 27, 2004 Posted October 27, 2004 Only opened one of these up, and that was ages ago. From memory I think there were 4 seperate plastic lugs covering the screws. Prise these off and the screws are below em. They are all on the front of the unit. Personally I'd carry on and take a hammer to it................. Simmo
Guest krash Posted October 27, 2004 Posted October 27, 2004 Thanks for the info Simmo, my biggest problem is I'm a lousy shot with a hammer and I'm liable to do just as much damage to myself / house / family as I am to the alarm
Guest elbert Posted October 27, 2004 Posted October 27, 2004 It's just so easy to open up the Securityguard main unit... You're only a few "clicks" away from opening the (two) screw c o v e r s at the font of this main unit... they're just so visable.. Remove those two covers on the front with a "flat" screwdriver, inserting from the right or left side;'click-open!' One after the other. And for most of all: stay calm, that's my main advise. Ignore your wife for a while, and don't start playing around with a hammer because of another security-installer's advise... Same like some other brands, your Securityguard is a fine piece of equipment, extremely easy to use and reliable by experience...
Guest krash Posted October 28, 2004 Posted October 28, 2004 All so easy really, once you know what you are looking for. Thanks for the advice, I can now hold my head high and once again take my rightful place in the household pecking order ............ Yep me and the pets back up on the same level.
