Paul Northam Posted February 11, 2017 Posted February 11, 2017 Hi I recently replaced my alarm system with an Accenta Gen 4 metal box with two remote keypads, as a replacement for the old one which kept giving false alarms, however the old keypads used to only light up if any key is pressed or a sensor is activated when the unit is set, and then go out after about 10 seconds of inactivity. The new ADE LED keypads I installed constantly remain on, so what I'd like to know is, is this a normal condition for the keypads to remain permanently on? Quote
Paul Northam Posted February 12, 2017 Author Posted February 12, 2017 The numerical keypad itself, all the digits seem to remain in the ON condition, I would have thought they go out after a short period of inactivity Quote
aissecur Posted February 13, 2017 Posted February 13, 2017 I'm fairly sure the keys are back lit all the time on these but its been a while since I fitted one Quote

I thought it strange at first, but it doesn't really matter. I have an older style LCD Accenta keypad and they go out until you press a key. Quote
