I forgot to say my dog has never tripped mine but the detectors see me fine. Its not a question of budget, these detectors are expensive compared to standard pir's. I prefer to use motion detectors for aesthetics, who wants wires on every window and door? you could use wireless siesmics I suppose.

Thats the beauty of hybrid, the flexibility of wireless perim protection without the hassle of fishing wires through cavities and frames etc.

The sensors are more expensive but compare that to the labour of installing shocks and contacts.

Also as you know aesthetics can be down to how well it's installed wired shock sensors could be installed more discretely than a PIR.

Lot's of variables, hence lots of opinions.

Lol it was in another post about mounting the Pir upside down by the Arab lol

 

But I always use Hkc hybrid wireless on Windows works well , only issue is big sensors , but battery life 2years plus is good
