Staniel Posted September 3, 2017 Posted September 3, 2017 I've just moved into a new house which has an i-on16 system installed, the keypads are reporting that the control panel is open and I have been unable to find any documentation that shows you how to reset this. Any help will be greatly appreciated! Quote
datadiffusion Posted September 3, 2017 Posted September 3, 2017 (edited) It is very easy to close these lids up without the tamper being closed, esp. if the original screws have been lost. I don't fit the 16 myself but the plastic case on the 40 / 40H / 30R is identical. Or just as easy, as the tamper switch plugs in via a molex (minature plug) for an engineer in a hurry to leave it off. As Al, have a look at the main unit and let us know... Staniel Posted September 3, 2017 Author Posted September 3, 2017 The panel on the control box is fully closed. Is there a way to open the control panel without setting the alarm off to check? Quote

Amps Posted September 3, 2017 Posted September 3, 2017 If I remember right "system tampers" are defaulted as engineer reset. You will need the engineers code to reset the system tamper. Quote
