Hi,

i have a Menvier TS900 system with 3 x NetLCD keypads installed. I want to silence the Chimes on just one of the Keypads where my mother rests in the daytime. The system is of course quite old and is not really used very often, but we do find the chimes usefully in other areas of the property, so don’t want to remove the chimes completely from the exit door routes.

Is it possible to remove Chimes on a single keypad only ?  I was not sure if the Ward Sounder Control Link, could be used to do that ?

Thx

I would simply just turn the volume down to zero on the affected keypad, if the alarm is barely used as an alarm...

When was it last serviced?

Many thanks, I’ll try that. I just disabled the  chimes in the meantime, but adjusting for the single keypad will be the best situation.

I had not realised that the potentiometer on the Keypad PCB could adjust the Peizo electric speaker. I had thought that the pot was just for a local external speaker if wired in.

The system whilst old was just re-setup about about two years ago.

Thx

I don't tend to have as much to do with these as Scantronic, but IIRC the speaker volumes(s) is controlled from software and the pot is just for the local piezo.

Just wondering if the main battery had been changed recently when asking about service, as the last thing you want is for that to throw up an error at 3am if it's cooked / flat from old age.
