al-yeti Posted November 27, 2017 Posted November 27, 2017 Why is alarm going off? Battery back up should stop that, I didn't think veritas had power alarm setting Pay attention, why is alarm triggering on a short power cut Quote
sixwheeledbeast Posted November 27, 2017 Posted November 27, 2017 Simple test, go to your consumer and switch it off. If your alarm goes into alarm (inside or outside) or dies completely, there is something wrong with it. Quote
sjsturner Posted November 27, 2017 Posted November 27, 2017 Is the “radio alarm clock” on the same electrical circuit as the intruder alarm? as above, charging circuit or battery problem, follow instructions by 6 wheel. glad to hear you made it back out of hospital ;-) Quote

It would be nice if - after nearly 80 years - they could do a default on that. You've pretty much described defibrillation though ;-) Quote So, I've decided to take my work back underground.... to stop it falling into the wrong hands
Limeyard Posted December 8, 2017 Author Posted December 8, 2017 Hi All, Apologies for the absence - I've spent several days trying successively ever-more radical methods to recover from the mess that I had been left in after the Windows 10 'fall update'. As usual with these things it just went from bad to worse so in the end I had to resort to an ISO disc that I made in October 2016. The bottom line is that I am about half way through re-building the system with about another weeks work ahead of me. Fortunately all the data is securely backed up. The unset light etc. problems have now returned and I now have the additional problem that without mains power the keypad is inoperative. I don't have time atm, but it will have to be a factory reset. I'll keep you posted. For those of you who were kind enough to show an interest, the stent is behaving well and I start an 8 week rehab. prog. on Monday. Quote
james.wilson Posted December 8, 2017 Posted December 8, 2017 There should be power at the keypad with the mains off, you either have a battery, fuse or main pcb problem. A factory reset wont help in these cases Quote securitywarehouse Security Supplies from Security Warehouse Trade Members please contact us for your TSI vetted trade discount.
sixwheeledbeast Posted December 8, 2017 Posted December 8, 2017 Needs a new battery or battery fuse by the sounds of it. I have also just realised this thread was hijacked and doesn't make much sense if you read it from the beginning. As for your computer maybe consider other options than Windows if your starting again. Quote

As James and Six have said, you will need to check battery and battery fuse/charging circuit. glad to hear you are recovering well. my Grandad is in a poor condition at the moment with a very poorly heart and kidneys, his outlook is very bleak.
