aissecur Posted November 20, 2017 Posted November 20, 2017 Hi, are you saying the pir led is flashing even with no movement in the protected area? Have you any other pirs on the alarm system? (can you compare the behaviour of this one to the rest?) Quote
sixwheeledbeast Posted November 20, 2017 Posted November 20, 2017 Could possibly be a faulty sensor. Have you tested anything or used your multimeter yet? Quote
george.h Posted November 20, 2017 Posted November 20, 2017 Potentially even a literal "bug" in the sensor.... depending on how well sealed it is.... Quote
datadiffusion Posted November 20, 2017 Posted November 20, 2017 Does the 'pir' also have green and yellow lights? Very unlikely for a v8 grade installation but just wondering if its a risko detdctor indicating 'mask'. Also don't some Honeywells do this when they fail self test? Assuming you do mean the pir itself is flashing. Quote So, I've decided to take my work back underground.... to stop it falling into the wrong hands

Sensors have been sealed against your 'bugs' for years now, I would be very surprised if that's it . Not a problem these days. 1 Quote Someone told me I was ignorant and apathetic, I don't know what that means, nor do I care.
sixwheeledbeast Posted November 21, 2017 Posted November 21, 2017 The better quality ones anyway. Wouldn't fit sensors without sealed optics, unless I had no option like wireless for example. Quote
